Privacy Screen Filter 15.6 inch Privacy Screen Filter for Widescreen Laptop, Information Protection, Anti-Glare&Anti-Scratch, Monitor Accessories for 15.6'' Laptop 16:9 (15.6“)

I actually picked this up to use on a few other screens (smaller). The stuff cuts pretty good, no cracking. The thing I really liked about it was it’s non-adhesive backing. Some others on Amazon have a sticky backing which leads to air bubbles in the center and gunk getting clogged around the edges. The way you keep this on your screen is with the provided tabs. They’re basically crystal clear (hard) plastic with an adhesive strip on one side for sticking to your monitor. The idea is that you can slide the privacy filter on and off as you please. I found I didn't actually use that functionality and just tabbed the whole thing on for good but if that’s important to you, kinda nice to have.The viewing angle seems to be right at the 60 degree mark. Maybe a hair beyond. See pictures for demonstration. It does however, darken earlier than 60 degrees so what you’re seeing in my pictures are the full effect and at about 6 inches. Across a desk, you won't be able to make any of that out, even before the full darkening.Last thing I wanted to mention that I touched on earlier was the “darkening”. All polarizing filters, which is basically what this is, will have a darkening effect - albeit ever so slightly. Try pulling your monitors built in polarizer off and tell me how bright it is! Anyway, it does darken the covered areas a bit. In my book, that’s desirable. I’m usually lowering the brightness off my gear anyway to make things harder to snoop on.5 stars, works as intended. My only wish is that they made many different sizes of this but for now, straight edge works.

While it fits my screen nicely, it doesn’t provide much privacy, which is the whole purpose of a privacy screen. So I cannot rate this more than 3 stars. And even 3 is generous here, taking that into consideration. In order to keep someone from viewing what’s on your screen, they would have to be viewing from an almost adjacent angle to the computer, which is unlikely. Otherwise, the package arrived on time and was carefully packaged.

I bought this screen for a electronics projects having many 7 segment LED displays that were too bright and distracting.Adding the filer over them cut all the glare, and gave a nice black background to the control panel.I thought the cut-off angle could have been a little sharper, but works ok.

this thing i can see from sitting next to it. no privacy. wasted my money.

Questionable privacy protection, but the UV protection seems to be ok. It is a simple piece of shaded plastic, nothing more. Kind of useless if you can still read the screen from most angles, doesn't offer more then computer does itself

Muy buen producto, está tal y como se describe en la publicación, se recomienda ampliamente. No se si funcione bien en pantallas touch ya que lo estoy usando en una PC sin esa característica. El envío fue muy bueno, la mitad de tiempo estimado.
