This cable bicycle lock works well for my needs. The fact that it is self coiling and is easily attached or removed from the included part that is installed on the bike's frame allows me to have it with me at all times without having to deal with how to store it when not in use. The combination is easily changed. The parts and materials all seem rugged and well-made.

The cable lock itself is reasonably well built although the lock combination is too small and difficult to turn at times when compared to my other bike locks. My poor rating on this product is based the bracket that comes with the cable. The tension from the bolts ripped off the thin plastic holes and separated the bracket within a month. Simply not well designed or poor quality control.

I say this is a pretty good product. I bought two of these at the same time.. It took me quite a bit to set my own combination on the first lock because I miss read the direction. After I re-read the direction and look at the picture provided, it turn out to be dead simple to change the combination.Now the second lock in my same purchase created frustration because despite setting the lock to a certain combination.. I know exactly what it was because I use it for everything.. The lock locked, but it didn't unlock when I put in the combination.. It took some random testing and attempts to figure what the lock thought my combo was.. So the point is, "write down" the combo and follow the direction down to every word to set the combo.

Put in your own comb, use as expected. It works well, what else can you say

The actual bike lock works well. The combination was easy to change and the lock feels solid and sturdy. I feel safe when I lock my bike up and leave it with this lock. Unfortunately, the other included piece designed to go onto your bike to hold the lock when not in use doesn't fit. We have 3 bikes (adult woman, adult male, adult female child) and this piece is too skinny to fit anywhere on any of our bikes. So we either have to carry the bike lock with us or get a basket for our bike. What a bummer. I wish they would have bike it have a much larger diameter to fit on a bike!

Got this for my Keenz stragon and I really like it! It easily connected to my frame for storage with a Phillips screwdriver. Setting up the combination lock was also very easy, the instructions are very clear. I plan on using this lock for amusement parks when I have to leave my wagon unattended. My husband likes that it is a thick cord, stores on the wagon, and can go through both the front and back tires.

It seems the heat of the summer in the mid-Atlantic region has caused the bracket to fail. The recessed plastic area that the screw heads rest against have separated from the overall plastic bracket so that it no longer can be secured to the seat post (or bike frame). Interestingly both holes failed at the same time so this must be a temperature issue.

Purchased this lock some months ago and just tonight my bike was stolen. This lock, with a very clean cut right through the cable, was all that was left of my bike when I walked outside my office to ride home tonight. I was hoping to ask the company if it offered some kind of guarantee (for either the lock or the bike), but the email address is not posted anywhere. Seems kind of silly to tell buyers to email you in the product description, but fail to provide an email address. This lock and this company just seems to be full of fail.

Works well. But only use this if you are leaving your bike in public areas.

I bought this bike lock for my husband. It arrived quickly. It is a good little lock. It works well and fits around a couple of bikes very easily. The bracket fitted to his bike really easily.

Looks a great item and value for money...but not yet put it into use, mainly securing my road bike to motorhome bike rack!

INITIAL THOUGHTS ☄This is a very decent bike lock for the price and does it's job well. However, I would not recommend this as your primary bike lock if you have either a very expensive bike or are parking the bike in very vulnerable areas. It will certainly deter a thief from attempting to steal your bike, but any avid bike thief would be able to get through this lock within seconds with the proper tools.PROS✓ Long and Strong Wire -> The wire is very thick and would certainly deter any amateur bike thief for a few minutes. This simply means that if someone wanted to steal your bike in public and only had a knife, someone would probably catch on to what he was doing. The wire length is long enough so that you could easily wrap it around any tree or lamppost without much struggle. The size and length of the wire do make it relatively difficult to uncoil at first, but after a few uses, it becomes very easier.✓ Simple Mechanism -> Setting up and using the combination lock was a walk in the park. It takes about 15 seconds to set it up and it worked flawlessly afterwards. A big problem that I have had with other passcode locking mechanisms is that the numbers often get stuck, this lock doesn't seem to have that problem and the clicking is very smooth.✓ NO KEY -> One thing that I regret doing was buying a lock with a key, if you lose the key you're out of luck. This is a huge plus and helps avoid any inconveniences and being forced to cut and buy a new lock.✓ Great Mount -> Very simple mount to use and install. However, it is made of relatively thin plastic and would most likely snap if enough pressure were to be applied, be careful with it.CONS✘ Misleading Diameter -> The rubber around the steel cable is designed to protect the wire, not for protection itself. With that being said the steel cable is slightly smaller than advertised and will likely not give as much protection as you'd think. At this diameter, the lock is much more vulnerable to theft tools such as pliers.✘ Easily Broken -> DO NOT use this as a main bike lock if you have a relatively expensive bike ($150+) as this cable would look as if it was a small string to a bike thief. With that being said, if you are using a relatively cheap bike for travelling, then I highly suggest picking up a more secure lock (thicker steel), I would personally suggest ].FINAL THOUGHTS ⚖At the end of the day, this is lock will easily keep out any amateur thieves, however, it surely won't be able to resist anyone with the right tools.
