This is a very good unit and performs very well indeed, easy to assemble and the remote control works perfectly, there are several preprogrammed lighting modes, and other functions that allow you to alter the mode of lighting from bright white to a more mellow illumination. Recommended....

Lamp arrived on time and was a 10 minute job to install including getting it out of the box. Lovely selection of colours and on these dark and gloomy nights it brings a bit of sunshine.

Delivered as promised, easy to assemble and the instructions simple, the lamp certainly looked the part.But I have returned this item as I will explain later, but first how it worked.The assembly was a synch and took less than 10 mins. Registering the remote to the lamp was also straight forward, the instructions were a little jumbled but not really hard to understand. But note you do need 2 AAA batteries for the remote. Once working the ability to change the colour temperature to match the ambient light was very useful. I also really liked the preset light settings on the remote they were quick and easy, reading, relaxing etc and the central button gives instant maximum brightness. If you turn the lamp off with the remote on/off button it then remembers the last setting.The lamb wasn't as bright as I had hoped. I currently have an old 300w halogen uplighter and the new one didn't compare. The description says it is 300w equivalent and I was disappointed at first, but on reflection the description probably meant that it would match 300w of normal incandescent lights which I think it probably did, it is just that Halogen's are brighter so it guess it would probably match 150w of halogen light.So overall it was a good 4 star product and I would have kept it but for the stability and that was the problem., the stability dropped it's rating to 3 starsThe description said "has a heavy base makes it wobble free and safe to have around children". Well that is not a fair description. The base weighs just under 540 grams which is hardly heavy and the whole lamp weighs just over 1.8 kg which makes the lamp very top heavy and therefore unstable. It wobbled when brushed against and when standing on carpet it was not really secure at all. My existing old uplighter has a base that probably weighs around 5/6kg and that is very stable on carpet.So if you can tuck it away in a corner where it won't get bumped and particularly if you stand it on a hard floor then I think it provides good light and great flexibility. But for me it did fail on stability.

Excellent addition to my front room,mega bright with good control settings....looks good and couldn't of been easier to assemble ..thought maybe it could of been a bit cheaper,but was still a reasonable price

If your lighting is bad this is the lamp for you! My room is fairly small but this lamp is much better at lighting the room than the regular old house lights. It has a dimmer so you can if you just want a little time or the total room lit up.

After some research decided to give one of these lamps a try as it appeared to have all the features required I am pleased with the lamp it is very easy to assemble and has a more stable base than others of this type. The remote control has several useful preselected features. As the lamp is situated in quite a large room I decided to order another having first ascertained that the remotes were individual to each lamp. There are no aggravating buzzing noises the price although more expensive than others represents in my opinion good value considering the features available. And no I am from North Wales and not Shenzhen

Looks good, easy to assemble and different colours and brightness...exactly what I wanted.

As soon as I turned it on using the remote the white light was so warm and nice. Changed everyone's mood. Lit the living room up so beautifully. I've got a chandelier in the living room and gives off the typical colour. I switch this on, a huge contrast can be seen.
