I haven't been able to find anything that works in my mini but this was a game changer, little fiddly initially to install but it's absolutely perfect. Keeps the phone steady, really good having the option of what orientation to have the phone while driving. Definitely recommended.

item is good quality and when you finally get it fitted looks great , my daughter loves it probably as she didnt have to fit it , holds an iphone 13xl well , screws that are supplied could do with being 2 mm longer to allow easir location when reassembling the speed cover

Great mobile phone holder, especially since once it's fitted there's no hunting for it or having to clean off suction marks ..Only downfall I found was removing the screws and replacing them for the longer ones supplied, I have chunky hands so found this rather fiddly , but I persevered and it's now in place and looks great..

Bought in March, broken by July. Springs have popped out from the gripping arm.After all the effort of fitting the thing, which involved removing the speedo from the dashboard of the car- it’s broken.Don’t buy this. Look for an alternative

Perfect fit for my mini

Definitely not a 5 minute job. Access to the three screws is difficult and a real pain to get into, resorted to a 7mm spanner a socket driver head but still very fiddly. Once fitted does the job very well but the Mini stamp is obscured by the rev counter. Replacement screws are only marginally longer than standard, I think the replacement screws could be a bit longer.

This is a great idea. Instead of the usual suction / glue/ ventilation flap mounting compromises, the idea is that you remove some of the screws holding the speedo dial housing together, and replace them with the slightly longer screws supplied to hold the arm firmly in place. The arm is really solid metal and holds the phone at just the right spot, although you can change the angle and tilt.However, the fitting instructions are hopeless. The speedo screws are at the rear of the housing and are hard to get access to or even see. The idea is that you remove two further screws to lift the speedo mounting free of the steering column. However the supplied tool does not fit these screws and in any case there is hardly any room. It was easier to use a small mirror to give sight of the speedo mounting screws - see the photo - and if you move the steering wheel back as far as it will go there is just enough room to undo them.The replacement screws are just the right length to keep the speedo housing in one piece and hold the mounting arm.I only bothered using two screws for mounting as this is good enough for a firm fitting and also avoids any risks about not being able to put the speedo back together if all screws were removed.
