I've had one bone density test since I started taking AlgaeCal. My bone density seems to have improved. My teeth seem to be stronger also. I will continue to use this product.

I have been taking this for a couple of years now, as far as I know it is helping.

After taking Algae-Cal for one year, my checkup showed I had gone from osteoporosis to osteopenia.

While the AlgaeCal calcium supplement did help my bone density tremendously after a fall resulted in a hip bone fracture, I am very disappointed that this product is advertised as plant based. The vitamin d3 is sourced from Cholecalciferol, a sheep wool lanolin derivative. The practice of extracting Cholecalciferol in large scale sheep shearing can be extremely rough and cruel to the sheep. I feel that saying this is a plant based product is deceptive advertising. I recently purchased the AlgaeCal Plus Bone Builder Pack based on this being plant based but on further research I discovered it really isn’t. I also ordered this because I took the AlgaeCal calcium supplement over the several months following hip surgery. The last hip x-rays proved that my bone density had become very good. I want to be sure my bones are all as strong as they can be and will finish the Bone Builder Pack I have purchased, but as someone who loves and has compassion for animals I am aghast at what I have read about lanolin processing. I hope AlgaeCal changes their sourcing of d3 and makes this product truly plant based in the future. There are plant based alternatives for vitamin d available.

Great product. Seeing improvements after 1 month

Because I don't get enough calcium from my diet and I just turned 67, I decided to supplement calcium as a prevention of bone loss and chose this product. I don't know anything about my current bone density. In the first days of taking the AlgaeCal Pack supplements as the instructions prescribe, I noticed an improvement in my sleep quality (I've only been taking AlgaeCal for a week at this writing). I've worn an Oura Ring for over a year, and it tracks my sleep quality/patterns (and more). I've been getting around 6 hours of restless sleep per night, and to get that, I need to be in bed for 8.5-9 hours (sleep interrupted by frequent wake-ups). For the first time in years, I'm now getting 7.5 hours of sleep with reduced wake-ups and longer stretches of sleep. Hopefully, my sleep stats will continue to improve. The only difference to my supplement regime is the AlgaeCal Pack supplements. A Google search found studies stating calcium improves sleep. I wish I had known this sooner. All I can say is that this product clearly contains calcium, and my body is clearly absorbing it. I'm good with that.

I have been taking the Algaecal Plus, Algaecal Strontium Boost and Algaecal Collagen Complete for 5 months. I do not know if it is working because I can’t get a dexa scan until October. So far, I have been able to tolerate these supplements without a problem. My only complaint is the price. It’s expensive to me ($155/month).
