Works great!
I’ve tried every single all natural mass produced deodorant on earth as well as a local handmade deodorant. They all have their pros and cons. Typically, they all work for a short period of time, then the smell comes and the product no longer works.Of all the deodorants I’ve used the Schmidt’s lasts the longest for the longest period of time. I have learned to alternate between deodorants when they are all natural as your body does adapt to them to where they do t work. Usually after two weeks of using the same all natural deodorant they stop working. The Schmidt’s actually lasted a whole month before I noticed a decrease in its ability to keep me dry and not smell.I only have one complaint of this deodorant. It goes on like trying to apply a glue stick to your pits. If you have hairy pits then be prepared because it’s going to grab the hairs and defang them from your body! I learned to slide the deodorant on across the stick itself longways. A small price to pay for a product that actually works.

Finally—remarkable
I have tired many deodorants—I avoid antiperspirants with aluminum—and have always been disappointed by this or that characteristic, such as having only very short term efficacy (half-day or less), or irritation. I had basically resigned myself to reverting back to talcum powder, which is a less-than-good solution, after trying Tom’s brand (“unscented”—but it has an aroma I dislike—and the powder-scented one) and having that brand’s product cause pronounced itchiness most days. I decided to try this Schmidt’s product and never expected it to be as effective as it is. No complaints whatsoever. It’s consistency was unexpected: like a very dense putty, and one doesn’t even feel as if it’s going onto the skin with a coating of any appreciable density when one applies it, but it apparently takes a surprisingly small amount to be effective. My partner says there’s a faint smell to it, which there is, but I find it virtually undetectable and quite neutral, too. It just works: my shirts don’t smell as bad, sometimes hardly at all, even at the end of a summer day. For now, it seems I’ve finally found my solution.

Not a fan of this scent
I'm not a fan of this scent! I feel like it exacerbated my armpit odors vs neutralizing it like other scents that Schmidt's carries in their Sensitive product line.

I like it BUT I'm conflicted
Been trying out various natural/"natural" deodorants lately trying to find the one I like the most that can also stay with me all day without needing to be re-applied. I stumbled upon this and figured I'd give it a try.Immediately I noticed that the deodorant was VERY soft. If I wanted to, I could very easily bury my finger deep into the "stick". Sadly, I didn't figure this out until I applied it to my armpit. I pushed with my usual pressure and ended up with a thick glob on my armpit. It looked like someone took a handful of gray clay and shoved it in my pits. I cleaned out my pits and gave it another try, this time taking caution to apply it lightly. This time the results were far more desirable. I gave the applied deodorant a quick smell and the smell is subtle but definitely there.Day 1 was an office day. I don't sweat when I'm in the office so figured it would be the perfect place to start a test. That way, if it failed, I wouldn't smell too badly. I applied the deodorant at 7am. At 6pm, I gave my pits a smell and it was just as pleasant of a smell as it was this morning when I originally applied the deodorant.Day 2 was a field day. 5hours outdoors on a 80-degree high humidity day in S Florida. Just as before, I applied a small amount around 7am. I definitely had a bit of sweat on my throughout the day, but to my surprise when I gave it a smell around 6pm, it was not bad at all and I could still smell the original scent of the deodorant. Needless to say I was thrilled. Two more days of use went by, then I noticed my pits were red as if they were irritated. I was very disappointed because I knew the only difference in routine was the deodorant which was working exceptionally well. I stopped using it and switched back to my previous and within a day or two the redness was gone. I made one more attempt with Schmidt's, but again, after 2-3 days, the redness was back. Apparently my skin was more sensitive than I originally figured? In short, it's a great product once you figure how much pressure to use when applying and I'd recommend that it's worth a try as it works better than most natural deodorants I've tried over the past couple of years. I personally just cannot continue to use it as it's giving my pits some sort of light reaction.

This actually works and smells great!
I started using a natural deodorant over winter, Piper Wei worked great for me but every time I used it I would end up congested, so I tried their unscented version - 2 weeks into it and my family didn't want stand next to me. When I exercised, it smelled - well, indescribable - not like sweat - maybe burning tires? I tried to go back to my normal deo/antipers but ended up with super painful bumps on my underarms which made me think blocking my sweat glands was really not a good thing. Tried Lume, which made me itch like crazy. Tried Ivorys deodorant version, great texture but not fond of the scents. Tried Corpus - great scents but too sticky. Wanted to try Schmidts, knew I needed a baking soda free option and didn't like any of the other scents - ran across this and ordered it on a whim. The scent is great - a little herbal, a little clove but clean, kind of like a woodsy bodywash? Long story short - this works REALLY well for me, went for a run and then rowed and no stink (and we are in FL)
