A must buy on any thing you want protection on !!
Bought a walking pad in December and immediately purchased insurance on it . I accidentally broke the remote control needed to operate the pad and called Asurion and they took care of it immediately after getting no where with Amazon.

Its good to know that if something would happen to my elliptical machine, it is covered for the next two years.I am so glad that an additional warranty was available.It's always a good idea to get the extended warranty, just in case it might be needed later on.The price was very reasonable.

I purchased several electronic items as well as outdoor sporting good products. I purchased protection plans for everything. I had an issue with a 12 V television and tried to file a claim. I spoke with Pat. He told me I didn’t have a plan. I told him I was holding it, I was reading it as he told me it didn’t exist. He asked for the assurance protection plan order number. I told him it was the same as the Amazon order number. He told me that was incorrect. Again, I’m holding it, I’m reading it. It’s his plan that they mailed to me that he’s telling me doesn’t exist. I asked him if it was possible to get Amazon on the phone to do a three way call. He said yes, transferred me to Amazon and hung up, HE DID NOT STAY ON THE LINE. I explained what was going on to Amazon, the technician clearly agreed with me and provided me the date of purchase and a copy of the order number where I purchased the plan. Since the Asurion tech hung up, I had to call again. This time I got Joann. She again told me I did not have a plan, that the number I was giving her was for an outdoor rug. I asked her if she could see what I could see? She told me that she could not accept the Amazon order number despite it being on their policy and that we should do aShe again told me I did not have a plan, that the number I was giving her was for a outdoor rug. I asked her if she would stay on the line with the Amazon technician so we could resolve this together. She agreed. She transferred me and YES, she hung up too. They must be rated on how quickly they can resolve phone calls because clearly this is a practice. They all follow… Dump the caller as quickly as they can. At Amazon, I spoke with the technician again who agreed with me that I purchased a plan for a TV, not an outdoor rug. The Amazon technician followed my request and transferred me to a supervisor who told me that he would get a hold of Asurion while I was on the line. Now I am on the phone with Amazon and Asurion and a woman named Jurial (spelling?). Clearly, she was trying to get off the phone as quickly as she possibly could, she spoke over me, she was disrespectful, she didn’t listen to a word I said. Finally, I interrupted her and said as clearly, as I’m writing this, you will listen to me. The Amazon supervisor confirmed repeatedly that I had a plan and insisted that she provide service to me. She confirmed that I purchased a three-year plan and told me that the first year didn’t qualify because it was under the manufacturer warranty. So I asked her, does your plan then pick up after the first year so it’s a four year plan? She said no! We run concurrently. So why should I pay for a three-year plan if they don’t honor it for the first year? She said great question and didn’t answer it. She transferred me to the manufacturer who I had been trying to contact for six months. VOICEMAIL FULL. Just like her counterpart, she got off the phone as quickly as she could. I specifically requested the supervisor at Amazon. Cedric stay on the phone with me as I had expressed to him. This had been my experience with them since July when I initially purchased my product that has never worked. I expressed to him again that her behavior is exactly the behavior that I had experienced from every other person at Assurion. Do not buy their products. Do not trust them. It feels like a scam. Get the customer on the phone and transfer them as quickly as you can. They do not have command of the English language. They do not listen. They are disrespectful. They are condescending. For six months I have been fighting with them to just acknowledge I purchased a plan much less honor it. COMPLETELY a waste of money and the staff are USELESS. BUYER BEWARE!
