I used those kit to repair a "flaking" purse. I think it's pretty good! It looks better than I had anticipated and was easy to use. The hardest part was mixing and making a color match but that wasn't hard either.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I chose this product for the simple instructions and color options. I ended up just needing the black though. I had a peeling steering wheel. The repair prevented further peeling, but after drying, when I tried the smoothing step, it only caused the product to start coming off. It was still a good repair even without the smoothing effect. You can just see it more.

Wide variety of colors and it helps to know your color wheel for mixing. You have to remember that it drys darker which makes it harder to get the color right without several tries. Can’t say if a cut repair would last.

The adhesive seems very strong. I tried several ways to make it loosen, it has not. The colors do mix well, and I was able to match my couch fairly close. BUT...the color has rubbed off completely in just 3 weeks. It is NOT in an area I set on, it the edge of the next cushion. There is not enough color to keep recoloring for very long. If the base color does not match your leather EXACTLY and you will be toughing the "painted" patch...be advised...IT WILL RUB OFF!

I got great results with this kit. A little goes a long way. I had some wear on my bmw leather seat and this has protected it well.

I bought it to cover a nick I got in a leather purse. The color was pretty similar but it was obvious up close that it was not like the rest of the leather.

I have now used this kit on two RV couches and a pick up truck seat and it works! It's easy to make the mixture and get a matching tone. It does dry clear so the patch will look wet which will not always match even if the color matches. My pictures show this on the truck seat--the dog's nails made a rip in the seat and this kit repaired it well. It's been over 6 months and hasn't reopened yet! It sets quickly but I left it for 24 hours to make sure. Easy clean up with rubbing alcohol. The brush that comes with it is just a cheap kids paintbrush--but cotton swab work too.
