Buy once cry once
I had purchased a kastking and a piscifun for a recent trip. When they arrived I was disappointed with the cheapness. Returned both and bought the Lexa. So much better! Line lay was excellent and you could just feel the quality fit in your hand. This reel is not small. Take a look at the 300 size too. The one key difference I noticed between the cheaper reels n the Lexa was the way the Lexa applied drag smoothly. The others seemed to suddenly tighten up.

Great Reels
This is my fourth Daiwa Lexa baitcasting reel. I have one 300 and three of the 400 series. Always a great performer.

DISAPPOINTED
One word .. disappointed. I have a problem when casting.. thumb bar will lock by itself. Lost 4 expensive lures .. now my daiwa 400 became a trolling reel . To send it back to fix will cost me more than $60 I don’t want to spent money on something that may not fix the problem. Moving to a different brand I’m done with Daiwa at least with this model .

Reel broke after 6 months
Sent in to Daiwa they made me pay for the repairs even though reel should still be under warranty after 6 monthsService guys said it was my fault that I don’t wash my gear after use. HahahaStick with Shimano, my service/repair experiences with them are way better!First Daiwa reel, last Daiwa reel

Not for tiny hands
This thing is big. I use it for big swim baits and if I didn’t spend so much I’d probably find a 300 sized to use instead. Feels like I’m deep water fishing with it.
