This brush is perfect for long hair!
I have had this brush for 2 years and use it 3 to 4 times daily and it has held up very well. It is only missing one set of bristles and the finish has come off around some of the bristles where I have gotten it wet and water has stood. I am a 65+ year old woman with normal hair that is about 2.5 feet long and gray. This brush is just the right stiffness to get through tangles without pulling hair out or damaging it. I can use it on my damp hair and it doesn't hurt my hair. The handle is perfect for my average woman's hands. A huge bonus is that the wood, I think it's walnut, is beautiful and has some fiddleback in it. I tried multiple (expensive and highly rated) brushes before this one and they were either painful on my scalp or the bristles were too soft to do any actual brushing. I am going to get another.

Taming the Beast: A Wild Boar Brush That’ll Whip Your Hair Into Shape (And Make You Feel Like a Man)
Alright, so I bought this wild boar bristle hairbrush—which, first of all, is hilarious. Wild boar. Like, somewhere out there, a big, angry pig is running around missing patches of fur so that I can look presentable. I don’t know why, but that makes me weirdly happy. So, I open this thing up, and immediately, it feels classy. Like, I shouldn’t even be allowed to own it. The handle is black walnut, which just sounds expensive. It’s not plastic, it’s not some flimsy thing that’ll snap in half in a month—this is a serious, grown-up brush for people who make responsible choices, which is why I immediately felt unqualified to hold it. Though, I gotta say, the handle was smaller than I expected. I thought I was getting a lumberjack-worthy tool, but it’s more precision instrument than battle axe. But you know what? That’s fine. It still gets the job done. Now, the bristles—the product description says they’re stiff. That’s true. They do not mess around. You drag this thing through your hair, and it’s like, “Hey, we’re getting this done. No complaints.” It’s like your grumpy old uncle who tells you to stand up straight. But weirdly? It feels kinda… great. Like, it’s exfoliating your scalp, spreading your natural oils around (which, by the way, who knew that was a thing?), and making your hair look like you actually care about yourself. It’s doing me a favor. And then there’s the beard factor. I love that it doubles as a beard brush, because I hate clutter, and this thing lets me be fancy while still being lazy. I ran it through my beard, and yeah, it was a little intense at first, but damn, did it smooth everything out. It’s like my beard went to therapy and finally worked through its issues. No more frizz, no more dry patches—just well-behaved, gentlemanly facial hair. The company says they “deeply value” their customers, and you know what? I believe them. This brush is built to last. It’s not some disposable garbage—this thing will outlive me. It’s gonna be passed down to future generations, and my grandkids will be like, “Wow, Grandpa really had his hair together.”Final thoughts? This brush is kind of awesome. It’s well-made, it feels fancy but practical, and yeah, it’s a little rough at first, but once you get used to it, you don’t wanna use anything else. It’s like getting a great massage but for your head. And if you have thick hair or a wild beard? This thing will tame it like a lion trainer with a firm but loving hand. The handle’s a bit smaller than I expected, but my hair looks better, my beard looks better, and somehow, I feel like more of a man.

Nice brush but not for thick hair
This brush is well made. It is definitely small compared to most brushes I've seen in the market. That's probably why it's marketed as a beard brush. May be good size for a handbag or backpack, too. I have been looking for a good brush for thick, long, wavy hair and unfortunately, this is not it. I also have a lot of hair, so to be fair, this brush will work great for thin to normal hair, either short or long, just not good for bulky, thick hair. When I get haircuts, most stylists usually comment something like "wow, you have a lot of hair." If that is also the case for you, then this is probably not the right brush for you. My hubby will keep the brush for himself, so overall, good value, good purchase.

Great for beard but not for thick hair
The brush is a well made boars hair brush and great for beards. The description says for thick hair but it is no way stiff enough for my hair it just rubs the top of my hair and doesn’t actually brush it. Again it is great for beards but if you have thick hair you will need a separate brush for your hair.

Firm and Gentle
Bristles are firm enough to shape my hair yet gentle on my scalp. Exactly what I was looking for.
