These are better than the originals that came with the ARLO, way better range of position and work with all generations of them for what ive gotten. if you need more pivot or broke your original base, get these.

Really basic - but they are working, which my 4 year old OEM mount wore out / corrosion.

Okay all, I ordered this, along with other parts, Nov. 2017. As I have had it all a while and have gotten into 'Direct Power' and mounting, I thought that I would post an 'update' - (not sure if I did an initial review).These little guys need to come with a 'disclaimer' that they are NOT intended for use with a power cord. It comes down to a design issue.The threaded portion goes into the camera about ¼". Then the intended idea, I assume, is that one would mount the camera snugging down the knurled knob and then attach an extension power cord (Weatherproof Outdoor Quick Charge 3.0 Power Adapter Compatible With Arlo Pro & Arlo Pro 2 and Arlo GO - Extra Long and Thin 16ft cable to continuously operate your Arlo Camera - by Wasserstein (Black)), this one being from Wasserstein. The cord from Wasserstein has a 90° fitting at the micro-USB end that attaches to the camera. The cord that comes with the came from Arlo, has a straight micro-USA fitting. Neither work with this item. The problem? The knurled knob is too large in diameter to allow either cord fitting to set in the micro-USB fitting on the camera body. If one looks at the Wasserstein mount (Security Wall Mount- Adjustable Indoor/Outdoor Mount for Arlo, Arlo Pro and Other Compatible Models by Dropcessories (2 Pack - Metal, Black)) versus the Netgear Arlo designed mount (Arlo by NETGEAR Indoor/Outdoor Mount (Black) - Arlo & Arlo Pro Compatible (VMA1000B) [Official]) one will notice the difference in size of the diameter of the knurled knob.To get these to work with power cords I had to eliminate the knurled knob, take out the threaded portion, use a burring bit to increase the size of the pivot-notch, mount the threaded post to the camera sans knurled knob, put back together all the parts of the mount base and then slide the bulbous end of the threaded fitting through the pivot-slot hole I created and then tighten the unit down. I was then, and ONLY then, able to connect either power cord. When doing this, one loses a bit of flexibility in the range of motion in the pivot-slot due to the enlarged hole for access. One also loses the extra security (?) of having the knurled knob to tighten the camera against the threads.

Great for mounting Arlo cameras under roof gables and other spots. Worth the money.
