New Mayo Scissors Straight 5.5" Blunt/Blunt Surgical Operating Stainless Steel Instruments

These hefty, bull-nosed safety scissors work very well, and seem durable (too soon to elaborate). They are long enough to provide enough reach so the view in the mirror is not occluded by your hand. Edge has remained extremely sharp, providing fewer strokes for each trim. Particularly like the reach into my ears. Clean up easily.

My elderly dog has developed some serious wounds (pressure sores on his hips and other wounds on his feet) that are slowly healing but require regular bandage changes at home. I picked up these and some budget miniature trauma shears to help with cutting through bandaging, gauze, and tape. These are far more effective than the trauma shears, which kind of suck. They're blunt tipped so they won't stab him when cutting bandaging off of his feet, just like trauma shears, but they're extremely sharp and cut through pretty much anything. I've been using them for 2 months. I highly recommend them.

Good scissor. I am a nurse and use them for work. They are sturdy, sharp and comfortable to use. They cut through a variety of wound dressings easily
