Great Product - But Keep Product Packaging with Description Close By Surge Protector ......
I just purchased a new fridge and living in a part of the country that sees a lot of power surges and electrical fluctuations. I wasn't going to take a chance with frying the electronics in the fridge (which happened a while back and we lost the fridge, the freezer, the whole house fan, the water softener, the garage door opener, and two TVs). I have since added individual surge protectors to all our appliances (washer and dryer too....) in addition to having an electrician add a house surge protector to the circuit breaker. After living without a fridge for 5 weeks, I wasn't going to repeat the experience. This particular surge protector appears to have a buffer for electrical surges and fluctuations. It cost more than I have spent for surge protectors in the past, but losing an appliance is so much more inconvenient from both a time and money perspective. I'm not sure how to gauge whether it is working or not. Time will tell as I just plugged it in a couple of days ago....12/20/15 UPDATE: I've had the surge protector on the fridge and it has been working fine. Today I wanted to test my new generator to understand what power we can count on in a power outage. The startup of the generator blew out the surge protector for the fridge. The surge protector turned yellow, which is the 3 minute spike suppressor. Since I didn't keep the packaging WITH the device, I didn't remember what the yellow light was for and thought the surge protector failed. The good news is that it did what it was supposed to do and recycled back to green. I am now adding labels over the spanish words with english so everyone can tell the status of the protector. Great product except it should have had BOTH English and spanish. Am buying another for my garage freezer !.

Compact Surge Protector for Refrigerators
I was searching for a sturdy but small, against the wall surge protector for my 10 cu ft refrigerator/freezer and this product fit the bill. It is compact in size, occupying only half of the wall outlet. It protects against low and high power fluctuations, both of which can impact a refrigerator. Clearly, I have just started to use this product and it has not yet been tested during a storm or blackout, but so far so good. I can give an update if this happens. In addition, the seller, Kasman Trading, was very responsive and knowledgeable when I had questions about the product. I had overlooked the built-in time delay and thought the item was not operational. Kasman Trading did not hesitate to offer me a refund as well as offer to inform the manufacturer. According to Kasman, they receive very few claims (less than 1%) on the volume that they sell from this particular manufacturer. I would definitely make a purchase from Kasman Trading again. Here are additional details about the Exceline Electronic Surge Protector: Made for domestic refrigerators up to 27 cu ft, freezers, water coolers and air conditioners up to 5000 BTU. Protects against low and high voltage and blackouts. It has four indicator lights for high voltage (more than 140V), low voltage (less than 90V), time delay (3 min after connection) and normal voltage (90 to 140V). Other technical specs: nominal voltage 120V 50/60 Hz, failure detection time 1 sec, maximum output 10A 1/3HP, operating temp -5 to 55 deg C, max operating humidity 85% HR. Last but not least, the product comes with a three year warranty.

Wish I had found this years ago!
Works great and solved my electricity concerns with the 2 fridge and 1 freezer in my house. For context - we have poor quality electricity, it goes off all the time. I had 4-5 instances in my new house where the breakers at the box would trip (type SquareD) due to being the new models which prevent short and over loads. This is nice for regular electronics but you don't want that on your fridge since they trip ALL THE TIME and if your on vacation your going to come home to a very nasty situation. The solution I found is to replace them with a non-protecting SquareD breaker, but then you risk electrical damage for the devices on that breaker circuit (if your fridge). This is where this Surge Protector comes in to save the day. Once I found this I was able to swap out the squareD breaker to be non-protecting and then plug this surge protector into the outlet to protect my fridge. Since doing this, the power has already went out several times and flipped the protecting breakers but not the old style one for the fridge. Highly recommend these.

Great device but label on device is in Foreign language.
This is a great device for protecting modern freezers and refrigerators from power surges and blips. Ordered because our freezer went into error mode and shutdown after a power dip the other day. This device will keep the unit off for 3 minutes after the power stabilizes. The only problem I had with it is that the packaging is in English, but the label on the device (including the part that tells you what the LEDs mean is in a FOREIGN LANGUAGE. Fortunately there is a box on the package that shows what the LEDs mean which I was able to tape to the device. Would give 5 stars if not for this issue.
