Great Product & very handy
This product is amazing & I like how easy it is to use. The battery life isn't the best however once you plug it in to charge your good to go. Very user friendly & this little wifi hotspot has saved me so many times when my wifi on my phone wasn't working and or my internet was down on my phone or I ran out of data, this freebot saved the day works great & i won't leave home without it.

Great to have!
Excellent and great to have. Really useful, and very simple to use. I don't have to bother myself buying a simcard during traveling. Good battery life and simple usage.

Works until it doesn’t
Just like all previous models it works great at first and then the service get worse and worse. Also the device itself gets so hot I’m afraid it will catch fire. Battery doesn’t last very long.

Please choose something else
I honestly had such high hopes for this. And to be completely honest: it worked AMAZING for the first. Then it just has worked maybe twice out of the last 2 months. Now it just struggles to find connect and even if it says it has connection it actually doesn’t. I spend basically 5 hours on a train a day for work and wanted to be able to work on files during my commute but this just doesn’t work. I have 3 15GB plans that I have used maybe 5% in so that, plus the actual device will all be a waste of money. It also sucks a lot that I encourages other people in my circle to buy it but I hope they didn’t because this was a serious let down. Save yourself the money and stress and go with something else.

Freebot, reliable and inexpensive.
This has been very handy in the USA and outside. I used it in Portugal and it worked great. I use it daily to offload my cell phone data to the "Freebot" device instead of paying the cell phone company extra for data usage. You can track your data with their app, and order more packages of data over the app.The battery life is decent and it connects with no issues. The price of the data is the best part of the whole deal. For $20.00 you can get about 10gigs of or more depending on their promotions. I bought 2 of these, I use one for me and one for my wife. If we lose internet, we turn them on, which is very handy. If you have any issues, Tech Support is very friendly and responds as soon as possible to all your inquiries. I would like to see if will will work in Cape Verde Islands in the future.

This has worked well for us
I bought it for use in my camper and it has worked well. I do only use it for watching TV to save on the data I use, but it does a great job.

Serviceable travel internet access, good value for the price point
This is a perfectly serviceable mobile wifi hotspot. If you choose the 'pay as you go' option you'll definitely pay more. Despite the gripes of some of the other reviews, $5 per GB is in line with what other international access internet services charge. They charge not only by the GB but how long you have to use it. For example, on my last trip I got a 5 GB 7 day package on my other mobile router for $32. That's a little over $6 per gig if you're scoring at home. That's why no one uses this type of device via the 'Pay as You Go' plan except as emergency access. Better idea #1 is to get a data only SIM from your cellphone provider. All of the major US providers also offer 'prepaid' Internet access cards. Depending on your phone plan, you might have some international data as part of your monthly service. If not, you can buy access for your trip. This all depends on which provider you have but the two I use--both big names in the US--offer international data as part of my plan *and* trip access passes.Better Idea #2 is to get a mobile internet SIM in the country you're traveling to. In Budapest, for example, you can purchase a prepaid card with 5 GB of data for approximately $12 USD. Most providers offer roaming throughout the EU free of charge. There are too many different options based on your needs and where you're traveling to cover all of them but suffice to say that you'll have plenty of ways to get international Internet access at a reasonable price. In fact, for travelers most countries around the world have better and cheaper mobile data access than the US.Now that that's out of the way--this is far from being a 'state of the art' device but it's a perfectly good one for what it is. You can get 5G mobile Internet devices but they'll cost substantially more. For a 4G device, the price is very reasonable considering the quality of the product and the interface. The touch screen allows easy access to all of the settings you'll need. There's also a Freebot app for Android and iOS.I haven't traveled with it abroad yet but I tested it with two different Internet providers and it worked great. I just inserted the sim card, rebooted the device and was ready to go. Connecting via wifi is very quick and painless. You can monitor connections, data usage, etc. via the touchscreen or the app. This is actually a much better made, easy to use and functional device than my other wifi hotspot which cost substantially more. Highly recommended!

Expensive packages
The device is good. But all the packages for internet connection are very expensive for the period which they offer. So is useless to order the device when you can't use it
