No cans dented!
I received my case of organic portobello slices 20 minutes ago. I was pleasantly surprised that none were dented because that's a usual on Amazon. However, the price is right, it came on time, and not dented. I just went ahead and bought another case before even tasting. I love the other organic products from this brand, I have no doubts they'll be delicious. UPDATE: I opened a can and sautéed with peppers, onion and the portobello are wonderful! Small cans, but large nice slices with very little water. Very tasty, great texture. Definitely buying more.

Great taste & texture
Caught these on a warehouse special & it's been a good deal all the way around ~ w/ so many mushroom varieties available these days, this shelf-stable simplicity makes for a great pantry staple, allowing me to never be w/out 'shrooms while waiting to catch other fresh varieties on sale. One way I use them is to drain off the can liquid into the saucepan & add some brown gravy mix to that (same technique as when the instrx call for cold water) ~ make the gravy, then add the mushrooms, let them warm up over a very low heat (great 'back burner' side while you're preparing the rest of your meal) ~ good over meat, rice, potatoes, etc.Another way is to drain liquid & then let the mushrooms dry off even more on a paper towel while lightly toasting Panko crumbs & grated Parmesan over low heat in a small amount of sweet, unsalted butter (the parm is plenty salty) ~ set the Panko Parm aside & heat the mushrooms in a small bit of butter, then toss it all together so that the Panko Parm coats the mushroom slices ~ spoon over a grilled steak or toss w/ buttered pasta noodles.Next time you finish off the last jalapeno slice from a jar, reserve that liquid for these (or tiny button) canned mushrooms ~ just drain the can liquid & add the 'shrooms to the jar of spicy liquid ~ keep in the fridge for a peppy little addition to nachos, omelets, pizzas, etc.

Will buy again
These little cans are NOT "empty", they pack a good amount of mushrooms. Excellent for side dishes or addition to sandwiches and salads.

Huge price increase
Super good taste & quality but was 26.00 in November for 12-6.5 oz cans. 42.00 February 28th. I had to pass. Can literally get 10 lbs of fresh for that.

for sliced & canned, these deliver signature portobello flavor
these are canned & remarkably evenly sliced organic portobellos.you will never make a gorgeous, succulent, al dente portobello steak out of them.but, if all your cook needs are the signature portobello flavor, with the texture of uniform slices, this is it. an excellent short cut for a lazy, everyday gourmet cook.these cans almost always arrives with very lightly dented cans. still food safe for shelving & use over time, but almost as if AMZ seeks out lightly dented canned foods from manufacturers.a reasonably safe and undeniably tasty buy in a flatpack.

These canned mushrooms are a handy source organic mushrooms that are packed and sliced well. The cans are a convenient size for most meals. I have used them successfully for things such as casseroles, dips and as a pizza topping.

Native Forest Organic Portobello Mushroom Slices
Very pleased with this product. The mushrooms were tasty. I will order again. They are a bit pricy, but mushrooms are one of the more expensive foods.

Best Brand of Canned 💯
I usually use fresh mushrooms. I keep these on hand for when I run out and don't feel like running to the grocery for just one item.I have tried many different brands thru the years and these are about the best I have come across.Yes they are pricey, but do you want to eat a mushroom that tastes like the can it came in? These don't. AND organic?!!
