Delightful
A really charming deck. It diverges from the type I and type II Marseille decks and the titles in English are probably unnecessary, but it has a lot to recommend it:Absolutely wonderful card stock that is a delight to handle and shuffle.Nice size that is smaller than standard tarot decks.Charming images and a lovely colour sense in the pips.I love the slightly wonky faces and the animals that are anatomically a bit weird. The only downsides are in this latest printing in that faces are too orange. I was put off by this at first, but I've grown to be OK with that now. Also, the LWB is pretty terrible for lots of reasons, but I tend to ignore those mostly anyway - apart from in the new Lo Scarabeo TdM which is a model of excellence and perfect advice.Overall, it's one of those decks that just pleases the eye and gives a warm, fuzzy feeling. It gets well used.

Powerful, regal, expressive, intuitive deck
This deck is very good for exploring archaic themes and emotions, such as the past, shadow-self aspects and anything beyond the mundane of everyday life. Although this deck is vibrant, visual and engaging, the actual representation of the cards is minimal, so you need to rely on your intuition and discernment and be well-versed in it's corresponding counterpart in the original rider-waite.The interpretation of the major arcana is medieval fantasy, and the minor arcana has corresponding designs but no suggestive story or visual information, for example the five of cups is literally five cups and so on. Again, intuition and previous knowledge of the rider-waite will help alot. I wouldn't recommend for beginners but this might be useful for intermediates and people wanting to test their recall of the suits. It was really refreshing to work with this minor arcana, this allowed me to process and think about the other cards around them without immediately drawing conclusions. Deeper introspection was reached. Something about this deck peels away the mundane of life, so that overlooked aspects and emotions can present themselves. The quality of the cards is also good, thick and glossy, and very easy to shuffle. However they tend to slide around alot because they're so shiny.

Are missing some original draws and details.
The desk is very nice but it doesn't literally represent the original Marseille's cards. Some details like colours, drawings and figures are not on this desk. For beginners, it's a well-made version.

Perfect
First impressions very good. The cards are smallest than most but fit nicely in the hand and are easy to shuffle. The card stock is thinner than other decks but ok for the size of the card and feel durable to me. I love the colouring and naive folk artwork is appealing and would definitely recommend this product especially at this price.

Cheap but good
This isn't the original Marseille deck, but a revised version by Fournier. However, is genuine (not a Chinese fake) and well laminated, thin but not flimsy. As far as the cards go, they are the customary Marseillese tarot with 22 major arcana which are in line with tradition. Plus the 52 minor arcana Court cards are very traditional, and the pip cards, that are kinda boring, but that's how Marseille pip are.The nice thing is that these cards have very tiny borders.A bad thing is the booklet, which is absolutely awful, one of the worst booklets I have ever seen, but this type of deck doesn't really need its booklet as one can easily get all he or she wants from a moltitude of books and references.Another good point? The price. This is hovering around the 10 pounds range , which now gets you very little genuine products, only awful Chinese rip offs. So, you can buy with ease.

Colourful tarot cards with the right traditional imagery
I have a similar edition from Fournier but from 1983 and I like this particular edition. In order to buy a backup deck, I was somehow not so pleased to receive this later edition. If you compare the version sold today to the 1983 version you will discover that the images and the colour schemes are quite similar but the latest version of today is more dark and not so clear and crisp in the colours. You would discover that the new version of today is more foggy and dimmed and cripple the overall card experience.I have tried to email Fournier about this, but they never answered me on this. It would be great if they just made an adjusment of the lighting of the images so to speak.Apart from that the size of the cards, the price and the imagery and the card quality is undisputable. Another great feature is the straigth traditional french titles of the cards that follows the Grimaud/Marteau scheme and it keeps the traditional standard.Over time you will probably choose another type of tarots.I see that the Fournier version of 1983 is possible to get in your collection through EBAY
