JDMSPEED New HEI Distributor with Spark Plug Wires Ignition Combo Kit Replacement for Chevy SBC 350 BBC 454, Silicone

All 350 drive gears are not the same. This is not well known. My '72 C50 has an oval female slot to drive the male oval oil pump intermediate shaft. As my old drive gear was in ok condition, it turned out to be an easy exchange. The old drive gears do not seem to be available. It is possible to put a new oil pump, intermediate split fork shaft to fit this distributor flat blade distributor drive. This requires dropping the oil pan and changing with the new parts. Not as easy as changing drive gears.Amazing fit and finish. I had to accurately measure components to insure I could exchange drive gears and was impressed.Wires were also impressive and give lots more clearance to exhaust manifold.Truck starting and running were improved beyond expectations. Shipping took longer than expected but well within the stated time expressed. All around 5 of 5.

The distributor itself is worth the cost. Perfect machining. Even the advance weights are stamped better than the last ACCEL curve kit I installed. But - Don't buy this thinking you're getting free spark plug wires. They are great quality, but just not long enough, or in correct lengths. Comes with 3 x 38"; 2 x 34"; 3 x 30" and a coil wire. (Even though this set is supposed to be for HEI). Most SBC Chevy wires have at least one 46" -50" wire for #2 since it crosses over #1. You will have a wire "waterfall" over the top of the CENTER of the valve covers. Ugly. Even includes an adjustable vac advance, BUT no instructions. After hooking up to vac pump & gauge, I determined that this is the type that limits the travel of the plunger, NOT the spring preload. You should already have a vac pump & gauge to set this up correctly. Pulled off one star ONLY because of the missing instructions. A 6 cent xerox cost them a star.

I purchased a Accell HEI aluminum distributor approximately 2yrs ago, paid over double what I paid for purchasing a JDMSPEED Distributor, if it last 2 yrs, I feel I'm still ahead of the game. I installed the Distributor in a 69 Z-28 Camaro block, backed by Corvette Heads, as soon as it was installed, it fired up with no problems at all, SWEET! Thanks Guys, will not forget you, could not expect anything better, Fires up every key turn, Can't Thank you enough.

I installed this on two Crusader 350hp 454ci marine engines. The wires weren't long enough to route around the manifolds for the 1 and 2 plugs, so I had to make some. The others are ok. I would recommend custom wires instead of these but they got me going.I got the firing order wrong on the first engine, and didn't spend enough time positioning plug one on the second engine, but each was done and running in a day.I did the conversion so I wouldn't have to deal with points ever again. I would recommend it.

The JDM plug wires are decent quality. The JDM diz didn't work. Coil test ok, pick up coil test ok, $40 to replace the module, still no spark. Removed the JDM, installed a $MSD$ and the car started right up.
